He was predeceased by: his wife Sallie C. Hathway; his parents, McCoy Hathway and Becky Kimrey; his siblings, Ottis Hathway and Eunice Stephens; and his half-sister Virginia Hathway.
He is survived by: his son Dale Hathway (Teresa) of Lumberton, NC; his grandchildren, Donavon Hathway and Crystal Delozier (Clift) of Fort Mill, SC; and his half-brother Larry Hathway. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
