She was predeceased by: her husband J. D. Oxendine; her daughter Sue Neal Oxendine; her great grandchild Sammy Bartley; and her parents, Bartow Chavis and Corina Chavis.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jimmy Lynn Bartley, James Weldon Bartley and Jerel Brewer; her daughters, Shelby Bartley, Snowdie Brewer (Gene) of Lumberton, Amy Michelle Jacobs (Michael) of Shannon and Yolanda Oxendine of St. Pauls; her stepsons, Johnny Oxendine, Elvis Oxendine and Norman "Rabbit" Oxendine Jr. of Fairmont; her sisters, Cora Lee Hunt (Robin) of Lumberton, Marie Chavis of Rowland, Mary Frances Oxendine (Alton Ray) of Orrum, Joyce Lowery of Lumberton, Donna Fay Oxendine of Orrum and Judy Hunt of Fairmont; and her close friend Mazie Hunt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
