He is survived by: his wife Dr. Florence S. Brown; his children, Angela B. Gilchrist (Ronald) of Durham, NC, Steven Brown (Kimya) of Raleigh, NC, Michael Brown (Feven) of El Paso, TX, Darius Brown of Maryland and Jaleel Scroggins of Raleigh, NC; and his siblings, Janette Best of Bolton, NC, Evelyn Young, Sarah Edge of Riegelwood, NC, Elijah Brown (Amanda), Joseph Brown (Carolyn), Wayne Brown and George Brown of Riegelwood, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
