She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Ammons and Vashti Rowan Ammons; and her sisters, Peggy Grant and Jan Sessoms. She is survived by: her children, Steve Graham (Laura) of Todd, NC, Candi Hester (Lee) of Lumberton, NC and Carole Allen (Jim) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Ryan Hester (Sarah) of Midland, NC, Andrew Hester of Ft. Stewart, GA, Harrison Hester of Moody, AFB, Patrick Taylor of Palatine, IL and Lisa Miller of Boone, NC; and her brother Hal Ammons (Billye) of Rockwall, TX.. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
