She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Hunt and Maggie Hunt; her siblings, Henry Lee Hunt, Jimmy Hunt, Johnny Hunt, Helen Campbell, Annie Ruth Wassil, Eldis Hunt and Aggie Nora Hunt; and her children, Shelby Jane Locklear, Jerry Leon Brayboy, Earl Brayboy and Ricky Lee Brayboy.
She is survived by: her husband Mack Hyatt of Lumberton; and her children, Mary Gist of Lumberton, Gerald Wayne Brayboy of Lumberton and Ronald Ray Brayboy (Betty) of Fairmont, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
