We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2023, at the age of 70, Carolyn Sue Hunt of Lumberton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Carter and Rosie Lee Hunt Carter; her husband David Lee Chavis; and her brothers, Wallace Carter and Gregory Lynn Carter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carolee Hunt (Joey Jacobs) of Red Springs, NC, Chenoa McNeill (Jamie) of Lumberton, NC and Rosemary Locklear (Kaylean) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Danielle Feliciano, DeAngelo Chavis, Cody Wayne Graham, Shi-Taylor Marie Hunt, Marcus Cage Locklear, Miracle Rain Jacobs and Amari Robinson; her great grandchild Harry Daxson Emanuel; and her brother Lacy Jack Carter (Lillian) of Lumberton, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
