He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Douglas Hicks and Ada Tew Hicks; his brothers, Lacy V. Hicks and William L. Hicks; and his brothers-in-law, Stacy McLellan, Johnnie Bullard and Keith Parker.
He is survived by: his daughter Christle Hicks Baxley; his grandchildren, Gracie Lillian Baxley and Charlee Rebecca Baxley; his sisters, Nellie McLellan of Lumberton, NC, Margaret Bullard of Lumberton, NC, Virginia Freeman (Wallace) of Lumberton, NC and Sylvia Parker of Shallotte, NC; and his sister-in-law Ann Hicks of Concord, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
