He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ward and Inez Ward; and his sisters, Joyce Brigman and Jane McLean. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ward; his children, Ricky Ward (Beth) of Lumberton and Keena Benton (Robbie) of Leland; his grandchildren, Adam Ward (Tiffany) of Lumberton, Sarah Beth Ward of Lumberton, Rachel Houser (Cobey) of Lumberton, Brad Benton, Valerie of Waynesville and Tyler Benton (Madison) of Charlotte; and his great grandchild Jackson Ward.
