He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Mercer Lee; and his siblings, James Lee, Ruby Carter, Ernestine Haas and Betty Lou Britt.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Biddy (Earl) and Ray Britt (Wendy) of Raeford; his grandchildren, Charlene Clements Eagerton (Sidney) of Virginia, Jerri-Lynn Clements Martin (Michael), Mickey Britt (Melanie), Jo Anne Britt Rigsbee of Goldsboro, Rose Britt Harper (Greg) of Benson and Shanena Britt Phillips (Mickey) of Hope Mills; his sister Connie Britt; and also Lumberton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, N.C. 28358.
