He is survived by: his father Donald Chavis; his stepmother Diane Chavis; his mother Lula Oxendine of Pembroke; and his siblings, Dallas Oxendine of Lumberton, Chester Tyler Jr. of Pembroke, Leslie Chavis and Tisa Locklear of Pembroke. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
