She was predeceased by: her parents, Winnie Jane Sampson Oxendine and John Hugh Oxendine; her daughter Marion Locklear; her husband Bobby Pounds; and her siblings, Eugene Oxendine, Winnie Pearl Brown and Pauline McNeill.
She is survived by: her children, Spencer Oxendine, Jr. (Samantha) of Lumberton, Hosea Oxendine of Pembroke, Nancy Locklear of Florida and Karen Oxendine-Juarez of Pembroke; and her siblings, Shelby Lowery, Anita Oxendine, Peggy Locklear, Brenda, Bobby Oxendine, Gary Oxendine, Larry Oxendine, John Bradley Oxendine, William James Oxendine and Truman Chavis. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
