She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Chavis and Margaret Chavis Locklear; her children, Bobby Ray Locklear and Betty Jane Locklear; and her siblings, Gladys Marie Porter, Christine Chavis, Allen Chavis and Chester Chavis.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Locklear of Lumberton, Donnie Lee Locklear (Lynn) of Taylorsville, NC, Wanda Smith (Jeff) of Pembroke and Doris Hunt (Keith) of Lumberton; her brothers, Marvin Chavis (Jeanie), Bobby Chavis of Lumberton, Leon Chavis of Florida, Mach (Judy Chavis) and Corney Chavis of Raeford; and her grandchildren, Angie Locklear, Harley Chavis, Kesha Billups, Brad Hunt, Eric Locklear, Lakisha Locklear, Cheryl Barnwell and Chene Mallory. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
