He was predeceased by: his parents, George Flantos and Sadie Britt Flantos Littles; and his siblings, Billy, Paul Flantos, Jean Adams and Catherine Jolly.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Flantos; his children, George Flantos of Lumberton, William Flantos of Lumberton, Chris Flantos (Dawn) of Burlington, NC, Kathy Waddell (Tommy) of Lumberton, Marie Flantos of Lumberton and Shirley Marlow of Lumberton; his brother Howard Flantos (Georgia) of Brunswick, GA; and his grandchildren, Paul Flantos, Ashley Flantos, Jonathan Flantos, William Baker, Michael Flantos, Kelly Oxendine, Tosha Rogers, Nikki Sanderson, Willie Flantos, Johnny Marlow and Rebecca Fowler. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
