He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Walters and Bertha Hayes Walters; his wives, Pauline Branch Walters and Melba Lou Ivey Walters; and his sister Geraldine Ivey.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Guthrie Walters (Diane) of Lumberton, NC, Larry Wayne Walters (Jeanette) of Goldsboro, NC, Terry Lynn Walters (Kathy) of Sunset Beach, NC, Ronnie Davis of Lumberton, NC and Gail Davis Fryman of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and his siblings, Lacy Walters (Belinda) of Charlotte, NC, Paul Walters of Dillon, SC, Ronald Walters (Carol), Roger Walters (Pam), Sarah Bass of Fairmont, NC, Betty Rose Kirby (John) of Mullins, SC and Margaret Richardson of Lumberton, NC. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, cousins, and friends.
