He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melton Evans and Mary Lizzie Kirk. He is survived by: his siblings, James Jr., Gilbert, Marion, Sylvester, Laddie and Doretha; his daughters, Michelle Evans of Spring Lake, NC and Yadira Gardner of Midway, GA.; his former spouse Xiomara Del Cid; and his siblings, Lena Thompson (David) of Lumberton, NC, Sarah Smith (Walter) of Lumberton, NC, Minnie Scott (Tony) of New York, William Evans (Alice Faye) of Lumberton, NC and King Evans (Bernadine) of Lumberton, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
