She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper McIver and Hattie McIver; her husband Philemon Johnson, Sr; her daughter Connie Lee Johnson; her stepson Kenneth Johnson (Kenny); and her siblings, Marion Alsbrook, Mildred McIver, Lorene Strickland, Vivian McIver, Jasper McIver, Jr., Thomas McIver and Alex "Edward" McIver.
She is survived by: her children, Weldon McIver (Mary) of Austin and Constance Barr (Shawn) of Atlanta, Georgia; her stepsons, Ronnie Johnson (Jessie) of Philadelphia and Philemon Johnson, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; and her sister Velma Young of Lumberton. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
