He was predeceased by: his brother Clyde Hooks. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hooks; his sons, Derrick Hooks (Debra) of Willow Springs, NC and Rodney Hooks (Michelle) of Raleigh, NC; and his siblings, Clarence Hooks of Aynor, SC, Larry Hooks of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jim Hooks (Lois) of Loris, SC, Maxine Martin of Goldsboro, NC and Polly Hooks of Loris, SC.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
