She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Freeman and Katie Freeman; her husband Layton Floyd Hardin; and her siblings, Marion Freeman, Billy Paul Freeman, Boyce Dixon Freeman, Robert Earl "Red" Freeman, Louise Broadwell, Christine Thorndyke and Kay Bennett.
She is survived by: her son Gary L. Hardin (Susan) of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Kate of Raleigh, NC, Carlo (James) of Raleigh, NC and John Hardin (Rachel) of Raleigh, NC; her great grandchildren, James Andrew, Carlo and Beatrice Elizabeth Hardin; her sister Margaret Freeman Kinlaw; and her sister-in-law Gracie Davis.
