He is survived by: his children, Donna M. Locklear, Deneas M. Locklear (Anthony) of Pembroke and Robert James McGirt of Pembroke; his siblings, Ed McGirt, David McGirt, Viola Herndon of Red Springs and Doris M. Worley; and his granddaughter Mary Ronada McGirt Wesson of Pembroke. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great grandchildren.
