It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeffrey Burney of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Burney and Mary Ann Willis Burney; and his siblings, Harold Pete Burney, Clyde Burney Jr., Ray Holmes, Benny Newton and Hilda Branch.
He is survived by: his close friend Katja Wright; his daughter Kari Burney (Andrea); his stepdaughter Kaleigh Wright (Ricky) of Lumberton; his siblings, Doris Burney of Lumberton, Betty Burney of Lumberton, Vickie Cooper (Welton) of Lumberton and Rex Holmes; his brother-in-law Stefan Becker; and his siblings' children, John Wesley Sampson, Nita Henderson and Amanda Sampson. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
