He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Jacobs and Hattie Jacobs; his wife Annie Neal J. Jacobs; his siblings, Bobby Ray Jacobs, Avia Oxendine, Shirley Oxendine and Ella Mae Hunt; and his great grandchild Krissianna Raby.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald "Buddy" Jacobs (Terry) of Lexington, NC, Dorothy "Sally" Pierce of Lumberton, NC and Devon "Loulou" Raby (Charlie) of St. Pauls, NC; his grandchildren, Dena Jacobs-Locklear (Chris), Tiffiney Hunt (Breslin), Christopher John Jacobs (Karen), Justin (Stephanie), Jonathan, Jarin "Britney" (Rodrick), Joseph Raby (Leah), Melicent Carter (Daniel) and Alicia Paige Pierce; his great grandchildren, Tatyana, Jermaine, Bayli, Aleina, Kaeden, Mileigh, Ayden, Azariah and Sajé; and his friend Bessie Smith.
