With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Oxendine of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Hunt and Minnie Lowery Hunt; her husband Wilbert Oxendine; her daughters, Doris Jones, Betty Deese and Patricia Hunt; her siblings, Willie Howard, James "Luke", Billy Ray Hunt, Queen Ester Hunt, Isabel Hunt, Flora Oxendine and Sallie Mae Clark; and her grandson Marty Hunt.
She is survived by: her children, Addie Lee Hunt of Pembroke, NC, Annie Ruth Hunt of Fairmont, NC, Carolyn Locklear of Lumberton, NC, Wilma Oxendine of Lumberton, NC and Randy Jones of Lumberton, NC; and her siblings, Frances Hunt of Lumberton, NC and Yancy Hunt of Laurinburg, NC. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
