He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Russ Smith; his daughters, Ann Marie Cox (Ricky) of Lumberton, Lisa Smith Jones (Kevin) of Lumberton and Torie Dent (William) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Matthew Cox, Blake Jones, Savannah Jones, Jeremy Dent, Billy Dent and William Dent; his great grandchild Logan Cox; and his siblings, Roy Lee Stroud (Inez) of Mullins, SC and Pat West of Lumberton.
