He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bradley Thompson and Minnie Mae Lewis Thompson; his former wife Mary Louise West Thompson; his wife Lola Belle Reynolds Thompson; his son Curtis Lee Thompson; and his brother Ralph Lewis Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Andy L. Thompson, Bradley W. Thompson of Lumberton, NC and Diana L. Hinds of Bladen County, NC; and his siblings, James Earl Thompson (Ruth) of Whiteville, NC, Ronald Hugh Thompson (Brenda) of Whiteville, NC and Sara Thompson Ward of Whiteville, NC.. He is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
