It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin James Blackburn of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Blackburn and Beadie Herring Blackburn; and his brothers, Rufus Blackburn and Fred L. Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sessom Blackburn; and his sister Ruby Blackburn Beard of Williamsburg, VA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
