It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Lee Britt of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Douglas Taylor and Sue Neal Britt Taylor; her husband James Wade Britt; her siblings, Tommy Taylor, Glenda Britt and Janet Willis; and her grandson Chase Maxwell.
She is survived by: her grandson Jesus; her children, Susan Rice (James) of Lumberton, Paula Freeman (Brent) of Lumberton, Charles 'Chad Maxwell (Ashley) of Lumberton and Jonathan Britt of Lumberton; her sister Nancy Fields (Eugene) of Lumberton; her aunts, Eunice Barr of Lumberton and Allene Johnson of Bladenboro; and her close friend Melva Lebrun. She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate assistance with funeral costs.
