We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2021, at the age of 92, Meta McManus Wood of Lumberton, North Carolina, born in Red Springs, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray McDonald and Mattie Malpass McManus; her husband George Harold Wood; her daughter Pamela Wood Dundas; her granddaughter Mary Aldridge Wood; and her siblings, Marie McManus, Marjorie Buchanan and Murray McManus, Jr..
She is survived by: her stepmother Fannie Harris McManus; her siblings, Max McManus of Webster, NC and Martha Moore of Cornelius, NC; her son-in-law Ralph Dundas of Fredericksburg, VA; her children, Patricia Wood (Ed Long) of Raleigh, NC, Anna Readling (Keith) of Cary, NC, Beverly Wood of Cary, NC and George Wood (Titian); her grandson Ethan of Clayton, NC; her son Ben Wood (Sallyann); and her granddaughter Ann Bryant of Garner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
