He is survived by: his wife Diane Carlton of Lumberton; his children, Michael Carlton Jr. (Taylor) of Lumberton, Kenneth Carlton of Lumberton and Harley Carlton of Lumberton; his siblings, William "Billy" Taylor of Bladenboro, Ivy Taylor of Bladenboro, Lisa Turberville of Bladenboro and Christy Ezzell of Bladenboro; and his grandchildren, Braylon Carlton and Kayden Carlton.
