She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Arnette and Ida Simmons Arnette; her son Michael Kilpatrick; and her siblings, Jack, Tommy, Aaron, Grady Arnette, Lerone Pate and Betty Gales.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Thompson (Charlie Taylor) of Lumberton, NC, Emmie Denning (Philip) of Erwin, NC and Tammy Hicks of Hickory, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
