With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Ruth Evans of Lumberton, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on October 26, 2020 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivey Lee Pruitt and Annie Moody Pruitt; her husband Ronearl Evans; her siblings, Clarence Henry Pruitt, Ivey Lee Pruitt, Jr. and Pattie Belle Britt; and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Barnes and Robert Lacy Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Evans, Melinda Barnes of Lumberton, Debra Jean Bodiford of Evergreen and Patricia Ann Baker (Lacy) of Lumberton; and her sister Alma Fields of Lumberton. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
