He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Cummings and Lizzie Mae Cummings; and his brothers, Randy and Coolidge Cummings. He is survived by: his significant other Vernette Ivey; his siblings, Harold, Charles, Vernell, Bobby, Tony, Timmy, Otis Jr., Billy Ray Cummings and Faye Ann Cummings; his stepchildren, Nancy Lupo, Connie and Shawn Evans; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Serena, Landon, Chelsea, Chloe and Shawn Jr. (SJ).
