She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul "Sunshine" Lester and Elsie Britt Lester. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Tanner (Tom); her sons, Scott Tanner (Jaime Tanner) of Winterville, NC and Kent Tanner (Laura Tanner) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Evelyn Tanner, Luke Tanner and Serena Kay-Lynn Tanner; her brother Gary Lester (Virginia) of Asheville, NC; and her niece Katie Lester of Scotland. She is also survived by many close friends and cousins.
