She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Owens and Margaret Davis Owens; her husband Harold Thomas Townsend; and her brother Henry Paul Owens. She is survived by: her children, Sam Townsend (Linda) of Lumberton, NC and Margaret Rising (Ricky) of Bladenboro, NC; her grandsons, Waylon Rising, Jason Townsend and Eric Townsend; her siblings, Alton Owens of Lumberton, Shirley Richardson (Edward) of Sneads Ferry, NC and Wanda Bailey of Baltimore, MD; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Owens of Stedman, NC.. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
