He was predeceased by: his grandmother Betty Jacobs; and his siblings, Roy, Graylen Chavis and Pearline Oxendine. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Kim Chavis of Lumberton; his parents, Ruth Jacobs Oxendine and R. J. "Jay" Oxendine of Fairmont; his daughters, Donna Stevens of Lumberton, Debbie Davis of Lumberton and Daphne Chavis of Lumberton; and his siblings, R. J. Oxendine, Jr of Aiken, SC, Cynthia Nealand of Shelby, AL., Sue Longtin of Fairmont and Melissa Branch of Lumberton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
