He was predeceased by: his parents, David Denson and Mary Denson; his wife Flora Mae Denson; his children, Mike Denson, Tim Denson and Cathy Denson; and his siblings, Rastee Denson (Gwen Denson), Almeda Scruggs (Bill) and Irene Burcham (Sam).

He is survived by: his daughter Lori Moore (Scotty); his grandchildren, Kindra Shadburn (Chris), Aaron Moore and Cheryl Shepard; and his great grandchildren, Emersyn Mae Shadburn, Garrett Benjamin Shadburn, Harley Quinn Shepard and Aurora Rose Shepard.
