It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sanford Hardin (Lumberton, North Carolina), who passed away on January 14, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Strawdie Catherine Hardin and Alton Hardin of Lloyd Hardin; and his siblings, Orbit Hardin, William Hardin and Jessie Bell Hardin Dial.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Hardin; and his children, Selena Barton of Lumberton, Stephanie Hardin Gonzalez (Jose Gonzalez) of Lumberton, Sanford Hardin, Jr. of Fayetteville, Clyde Hunt of Lumberton, Janice Jackson (Grey Jackson) of Fayetteville and Penny Smith of Lumberton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
