She was predeceased by: her husband Barney Scott; and her daughter Linda Kay Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Hilton Scott (Diane) of Lumberton, Elton Scott of Fairmont, Carnell Scott (Danette) of Pembroke, Sherrill Wood (Clayton) of Orrum, Marilyn Scott (Jerry Oxendine) of Fairmont, Diane Scott and Wanda Scott; and her siblings, Grace Hammonds of Lumberton, Doris Chavis of Lumberton and Marvin "Top" Locklear of Pembroke. She is also survived by four sisters, and five brothers.
