She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Corbett and Marian Baxley; her husband Albert P. Smith, Sr.; and her siblings, Sarah Atkinson and Robert Sherwood Baxley.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Paul Smith, Jr. (Paula) and Beverly Smith Norton (Terry) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Kelsey Norton Fann (Tate), Pearce Adam Smith of Lumberton, NC and Jenna Paige Smith of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchildren, Madelyn Jane Fann of Lumberton, NC and Owen Tate Fann of Lumberton, NC; and her sisters, Peggy Bray of Greensboro, NC and Carol Davis of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She retired in August 2020 due to concerns with her health and the COVID pandemic.
