He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Lawson and Pauline Lawson; and his sister Joyce Hinson of Charlotte, NC.. He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Starnes (Ivey) of Lumberton and Steve Lawson (Marianne) of Eutawville, SC.; his wife Linda Walters Lawson; his daughters, Wendy Mauldin (Dana) of Shallotte, NC, Lori Baucom (Ron) of Fairmont, NC and Heather Rainaldo (Bill) of Dacula; his grandchildren, Dane, Megan Mauldin, Ronnie Baucom, Ashley, William Caleb and Paulina Rainaldo; his great grandchild Amber Baucom; and his father-in-law Edwin Walters. He is also survived by four children.
His request was for any donations to be made to the general fund of Barnesville Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
