It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernette Lambert Ivey of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 22, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evans Lambert Sr. and Dessie Mae Maynor Lambert; her son Donnell Evans Jr.; her close friend Nelson Cummings; and her siblings, Manford, Jerry, Vernon, Evans Jr., Billy, Joe, Shirley, Muriel, Susie and Betty.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Lupo (KeenanWalters) of Hope Mills, Connie Evans (Nick Capps) of Hope Mills and Shawn Evans (Jenna Messerole) of Lumberton; her siblings, Randolph Lambert of Red Springs, Glenn Lambert of Shannon, Eugene Lambert of Red Springs, Frank Lambert of Red Springs and Alice Jacobs of Red Springs; and her grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Serena, Landon, Chloe, Shawn Jr. and Chelsie. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren as well as a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
