He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Doris Lyon Sanborn. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Emily, Charity and Katie Cannon (Brad); his great grandchildren, Brice, Tucker and Nancy Bullard (Frank) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandchild Jessie (Katie); his great grandchildren, Emma Grace, Anderson, Ross (Lauren), John Charles (Elizabeth) and Karl (Lizz) of Cary, NC; his grandchildren, Abby, Anna Catherine of Cartersville, GA, Joseph of Cartersville, GA, Marcus Lyon (Mary Grace), Neely of Tuscaloosa, AL., Sadie of Tuscaloosa, AL. and Maggie of Tuscaloosa, AL.; his friend Nell Graham Skinner; his stepsons, Graham (Angela) and David Skinner of Greensboro, NC; and his stepgrandsons, Resident, Dylan Skinner of Fayetteville, NC, Jordan Skinner of Wilmington, NC and Basil Skinner of Cary, NC.. He is also survived by three children.
