He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Barton Oxendine; and his siblings, Douglas Oxendine, Jimmy Hammonds, Henry Lynn Oxendine, Helen Oxendine, Christine Locklear and Annette Oxendine.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Hunt; his daughters, Michelle Barton Kline (Lloyd), Sharon Oxendine Locklear, Rena Oxendine Chavis and Karen Oxendine Olson (William); and his close friends, Helen Hagan, Mary Mitchell, Mary Rose and Sue Locklear. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
