He is survived by: his wife Veona Dodson Cox; his children, Charles William Cox, Shirley Diaz (Rafael) and Cathy Claybrook (Charles); and his grandchildren, Michael Claybrook, Donna Tello, Lori Bradford, Matthew Claybrook, Victor Smith, Macon Claybrook, Charlene Sorell and Scott Robertson. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
