He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Zepp Chapman; his parents, J. Franklin Chapman and Maude Elaine Chapman; and his son-in-law Robert Michael Day (Bobby). He is survived by: his wife Christine Catherine Chapman; his children, Laura Alison Chapman-Day and Scott Clifford Chapman (Cathi Ellen Chapman); his stepson Peter Thomas Sawchuk (Gail Elizabeth Sawchuk); his grandchildren, Michael Peter Chapman, Jason Nicholas Vetter, Marguerite Day, Peter Levi Sawchuk and Tanner Clark Sawchuk; and his sister Elizabeth Ann Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Life Care or the Novant Brunswick Hospital in recognition of the dedicated and professional care of the medical and support staff.
