It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Lunsford (Madison, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Donald Lunsford; and his siblings, Vester, Lester Lunsford, Clois Nelson, Earsie Coleman and Ola Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hill Lunsford; his daughters, Teresa Cox of Stoneville and Jenette L. Peters (Claude) of Stoneville; his grandchildren, Danny Lunsford, Scott Dunlap (Kristin), Wayne Peters (Marie) and Chase Lunsford; and his nephews, Junior Lunsford and Tommy Lunsford. He is also survived by nieces and extended family members and friends.
