With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Florence Hopper Forbes (Madison, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2019 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Banner Hopper and Mamie Thornton Hopper; her husband Clyde Elton Forbes; her daughter Libby; and her siblings, Archer, Banner, Cuff, Leonard Hopper, Evelyn, Elizabeth and Branson Fowler.
She is survived by: her children, John Oscar Forbes (Patricia) and Carolyn Forbes Jackson (Mike); her grandchildren, Jodi Jackson Stevens (Tim), Kimberly Forbes-Holmes (Michael), Steve Jackson and Shara Forbes Childress (Shannon); her great grandchildren, Lacey, Kyle Stevens, Jeremy Jackson, Sage and Salim Childress; and her siblings, Pete Hopper and Teresa Ashburn.
