She was predeceased by: her parents, Mossie Monroe Joyner and Lula Parrish McBride Joyner; her husband James Odell Newnam; her brother Marvin Edward Joyner; and her sister-in-law Addie Coltrane Joyner.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Newnam (Loretta) of Summerfield and Cindy Newnam of Boca Raton, Florida; her grandchildren, Caitlin Newnam of Willow Spring and Joshua Newnam of Greensboro; and her sisters, Carlene Neal and Jerlene Gentry.
