She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Ward and Veva Emeline Ramsey; her sisters, Gwen Klepper and Lou Ann Hogan; and her aunt Willie Mae Connor.
She is survived by: her children, Aldon Shelton (Johanna), April Shelton (Andrew Schnell) of Huntsville, AL and David L. Shelton (Jennifer) of Bloomington Springs, TN; her grandchildren, Darya Kline (Hunter), John-Riley Shelton, Hollie Shelton of Tennessee and Alanna Shelton of Alabama; her sisters, Shelby Jean Fillers of Chuckey, TN and Darlene Baskette (Richard) of Limestone, TN.; her siblings' children, Debbie Andes (Roger), Dewayne Stanton, Ryan Baskette, Kim Johnston Williams (Bob) and Bryan Johnston (Rena); her brother-in-law Charles Johnston; and her aunt Trula Gahagan of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by cousins, and other family members.
