He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Godfrey; his sons, James "Jimmy" McDowell, Jr. (Brooke), Scottie McDowell (Stephanie) and Justin Godfrey (Sandy); his grandchildren, Michael Godfrey, Robert Von Scheven and Parker McDowell; his brothers, Thomas Gary McDowell (Judy), William "Bill" Wayne McDowell (Robin) and Barry "Spook" McDowell; and his friends, Gary, Debbie Vogt, Reavis, Paula Hendron, Audrey and Mickey Bullock. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
