He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Joyce Grogan; his son Mike Robertson; his grandson Robert Hutson; and his siblings, Clifford Grogan of Norman Grogan, Moncie Joyce and Faye Goad.
He is survived by: his children, Charles E. "Gene" Robertson and Glenda Lou Foulks; his grandchildren, Tracy Moore (Dany), Christie Ore (Will) and Melinda Poindexter (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Jessica Easter (Matt), Reggie Manuel (Kelsey), Reagan Poindexter, Holden Poindexter, Cricket Moore, John Marley Moore, Jared Pruitt and Charlie Pruitt; his great great grandchild Hayden Easter; and his close friends, Barbara Calvary and William Barham.
